Fashion Leaders Come Together for Charity Dog and Fashion Show
A pack of fashionable rescue dogs are ready to give “Couture for a Cause” a new meaning. On June 5, 2016 said pups will be walking with local and national celebrities in Glitter and Glam, Nashville’s original dog and fashion show, to raise money for Agape Animal Rescue. The red carpet fashion event is back at Hutton Hotel in Nashville with All Pro NFL veteran and sports radio personality Brad Hopkins hosting.
Glitter and Glam will feature silent and live auctions, dog-themed carnival games, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine and Tito’s Vodka cocktails and, of course, an unforgettable fashion show.
Agape Animal Rescue is happy to announce that Las Vegas-based designer Tatyana Khomyakova will be styling the celebrity models in her 1950s inspired pinup and rockabilly line, Tatyana.
“We’ve been fans of the designer’s “Bettie Page” line for years. When Tatyana opened in Nashville, we knew we had to partner with the boutique for a night of incredible fashion at Glitter and Glam,” said Tanya Willis, founder and executive director of Agape Animal Rescue.
The boutique recently announced its upcoming move from the lower Broadway area to the popular 12 South neighborhood in Nashville, set for spring of 2016. Manager Jase Dargavell says that becoming more involved with the community is a priority as they relocate.
“As Tatyana Designs is approaching its 10 year anniversary of providing retro elegance and the grand opening of our new location, we can’t think of a more unique and life-saving way to celebrate,” said Dargavell.
“We love that Agape Animal Rescue uses runway fashion—our passion—to raise money for dogs in need.”
And speaking of the dogs, Orostani Couture, who was recently featured on ABC’s The View, will make sure they’re as bold and beautiful as their human pals. In partnership with Winston Dog, a luxury pet boutique and fluff out bar in Green Hills, Orostani Couture will be designing custom clothing for the canine models.
“Having partnered with Agape for past events, we know that Glitter and Glam attendees are expecting the latest in luxury pet fashion—so it was an obvious choice. I knew we had to bring in a designer who is as sophisticated as she is edgy to match Tatyana’s style,” said Renee Bell, owner of Winston Dog.
The upscale pet boutique and nationally-celebrated jewelry designer Kendra Scott will be providing accessories for show.
“Tatyana Designs, Orostani Couture, Kendra Scott and Winston Dog are leaders of their prospective industries. The fact that we have them all together at our event is nothing short of amazing,” said Willis.
Presenting sponsor Happy Retales invites animal and fashion lovers to bid, sip and celebrate for the dogs of Agape Animal Rescue, a 501c3 organization dedicated to finding forever homes for abandoned and displaced dogs while educating the public to be more responsible pet owners.
Tickets for the cocktail event are available here and in person at Winston Dog for $70.
